Costs

We offer delivery on all orders to mainland U.K. addresses at a delivery charge of £2.50 - £55.00 plus VAT. Exact amount will depend on weight and size of total order. A surcharge may be applied to some Northern Scotland , Northern Ireland, Southern Ireland and offshore addresses. Please feel free to phone our showroom for a quote for delivery charges in these areas on 01283-544486.

Delivery Schedule

Larger flooring deliveries are made using commercial pallet carriers(eg.palletways), smaller ones by parcel couriers such as Royal Mail, Parcel Force,TNT, UK Mail and City Link.

Palletised orders are made to “Kerbside” . This means that the goods will be unloaded at the nearest point of access to the delivery address for the delivery vehicle. Pallet deliveries are generally made on vehicles with a tail lift; pallets are lowered down and wheeled to the nearest accessible point. Please note that drivers do not come inside your house or apartment building.

It is assumed that the delivery address will be accessible by lorry. If this is likely to be a problem i.e. the road is subject to vehicle weight or width restrictions, please inform us at the time of order and we will attempt to deliver on a smaller vehicle.

Deliveries are usually made within five working days of order throughout the UK. If your order is not stocked or unavailable for immediate despatch, we will call you giving you the option to cancel.

If an order is required for the next working day, please contact us immediately after placing the order and request next day delivery and we will endeavor to meet your requirements, subject to stock availability, additional charge being paid and remaining warehouse time available.

Please inspect your goods immediately on delivery. If damaged, sign for as damaged on the couriers paperwork. This must then be reported to Home of Floors within 24 hours by email with photographic evidence(info@homeoffloors.co.uk); no claims with regard to damage items can be made after our courier has left the delivery address, unless signed for as damaged on delivery.

No liability can be accepted for costs caused by late deliveries or for any other reason.
Therefore we advise against booking tradesman for installation until the goods have been received.
