Areas of high wear can be renovated using Treatex® Preparation Cleaner and Treatex® Wax Polish. Treatex® Preparation Cleaner is an aggressive cleaner which prepares surfaces for refinishing and Treatex® Wax Polish is a diluted version of Treatex® Hardwax Oil Traditional. Begin by diluting Treatex® Preparation Cleaner in water at a ratio of 1:100 (50 ml to 5 litres of water). Mop the surface with this solution, ensuring that the mop is only damp and never wet. After using the solution, mop the floor with clean water to remove any residue and leave to dry for approximately 3 hours. Once dry, apply Treatex® Wax Polish to a small area at a time, either by wiping on a thin coat using a lint free cloth - taking care not to leave cloth marks, or by buffing using a white pad under a slow machine ensuring the surface is buffed until there are no swirl marks. Allow to dry for three to four hours. For areas of very high wear a thin coat of Treatex® Hardwax Oil Traditional can be applied instead of Treatex® Wax Polish to surfaces cleaned with Treatex® Preparation Cleaner.
